The Mannheim office

As long ago as 1607, Mannheim was granted municipal privileges after the Elector Friedrich IV of Palatinate laid the foundation stone for construction of the Friedrichsburg fortress. From the start, the streets for the free city of Mannheim, built in association with the fortress, were planned on the model of a grid, a form still present today and responsible for the city’s description as the ‘grid-pattern city’. A major conurbation since 1900, Mannheim is an important commercial centre and transportation hub between Frankfurt and Stuttgart.

This former royal seat of the historical Electoral Palatinate is still the business and cultural centre of the Rhine-Neckar Triangle European metropolitan region – numbering some 2.35 million inhabitants. The city itself is home to 310,000 residents and so in size is second only to Stuttgart in Baden-Württemberg. Our office is right at the heart of the old city, in the magnificent Augustaanlage near the water tower, the symbol of the city. We hope to see you soon.
